Working with the presentation created alongside the research was part of the awareness raising for our project and sharing the thoughts of parents with special needs children.
With an invitation to Mr. Amr Ibrahim, a German teacher who has valuable experience working with special needs children in schools and private classes on various ways of communication and development. He started the session by giving a very simple introduction about the project and the general aim of it.
Then it was carried out the presentation discussing
- Childhood and children as a definition and scope
- Characteristics of special needs and most common special needs among children
- Mental disabilities
- Physical disabilities
- Early identification of children’s disabilities
- Training for specialized personnel such as caregivers, Teachers and parents by psychiatrists and psychologists
- Specific techniques of identifying children’s disabilities
- Fundamental principles working with special needs
- Parenting styles and attitudes
This all was discussed throughout the two days of local activity that was held in Bonn, Germany led by EUth Wonders e.V. in the framework of the Expert in toys for my special child project.
We aimed to share the work done and encourage people to follow our path of work until we realize the E-Learning platform so they can engage more and know a lot about the topic in a better and sustainable way.
